Chosen Before the Spotlight
There is a quiet kind of affirmation in that.
I often present my work to a room and wait. Watch how people move toward it, how long they linger, whether they ask questions. But this set didn’t have to wait for validation under exhibition lighting. It resonated beforehand in its raw stage, in studio light, still surrounded by sketches and paint marks.
That tells me something important.
It tells me the work is clear.
It tells me the language is understood.
It tells me the energy carries.
The Panels
This set in the softer (Modern Serenity – Celestial Blush) colour palette continues my exploration of movement and presence simple forms, deliberate lines, space that breathes. There is strength in restraint. Each panel stands on its own, yet together they hold a rhythm.
When arranged, they don’t compete.
They converse.
They are not loud pieces.
They are grounding pieces.
The kind that settle into a home quietly and then become part of the atmosphere.

A Different Kind of Exhibition Moment
Exhibiting at Xordinary for MIFF this year is exciting. It’s a platform where design, craft, and form meet industry and scale. But this pre-purchase reminded me of something deeper:
The real exhibition often happens long before the booth is built.
It happens in the late nights refining proportion, the hesitation before the final stroke, and the moment when it’s decided that the work is complete.
By the time these panels reach their new space, they will already carry that journey within them.
Gratitude in Motion
To the collector who trusted the vision before seeing it in a formal setting, a big THANK YOU!
There’s a certain intimacy in that kind of trust.
These panels will soon leave the studio, carefully wrapped, ready to live their next chapter. And I always feel it that quiet pause before a piece departs. A mix of relief, pride, and gratitude.

Another set finished.
Another story moving forward.
Another reminder that art doesn’t wait for permission it simply needs to be seen.
More soon from MITEC at the Xordinary Exhibition, see you at MIFF 2026!
